New iPhone SE 2022 and iPad Air 5th generation

On March 8, Apple held a conference called , "Peek Performance", where the company unveiled the new iPhone SE(2022) and the next-generation iPad Air.

The first iPhone SE was launched in 2016. In 2020, it was released in another iteration, and in early March another new model appeared at the conference. Smartphones in this line are much cheaper than other iPhone models, making them more affordable and ideal for people who prefer a much smaller phone size. The new smartphone features the familiar A15 Bionic 6-core processor, which was also used in the iPhone 13. With this chip, which is much more powerful, battery life has improved significantly. The chip has a 6-core processor consisting of 2 new high-performance cores and 4 highly energy-efficient cores. The new iPhone still has a 4.7-inch LCD screen, with a resolution of 1334 x 750 pixels and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. A Touch ID fingerprint reader has been placed below the screen. The iPhone's screen is protected by a Ceramic Shield layer, which provides high protection against scratches or drops. The iPhone also uses True Tone display technology, which adjusts the appropriate brightness level and color temperature relative to the environment. The phone has a rear wide-angle lens with a resolution of 12MP and a 7MP front selfie camera. Pre-orders start on March 11, while it will be available for regular purchase on March 18. The new iPhone will be available for purchase in 3 color versions such as dark navy blue, white and red. The price of the new model will be a bit higher because it is $429, which in Poland is the cost of PLN 2199.

iPad Air 5th generation, is another new product that was unveiled during the same conference. Apple guarantees improved performance and speed of the device. The new model is very similar to its predecessor, but the differences lie mainly in changes regarding components. The new iPad has an Apple M1 processor consisting of 8 CPU cores and 8 GPU cores. It features a Liguid Retina screen with a 10.9-inch diagonal length, 2360 by 1640 pixel resolution with P3 wide color gamut and 500 nits brightness. The oleophobic coating used copes very well with unwanted fingerprints on the screen. It is also worth noting that this model supports the 2nd generation Apple Pencil stylus. The iPad has a 12 MP wide-angle camera with up to 5x digital zoom and a 12 MP front camera with 122-degree field of view. It is available in 5 color options : blue, purple, pink, star gray and moonlight shade. It will be available for pre-order from March 12, and will officially hit stores on March 18.
