Vivo

vivo accessories: phone series

The Chinese manufacturer vivo divides its smartphone range into several lines aimed at different users. The letter in the name tells you which group a phone belongs to:

• vivo X: flagships with optics developed together with Zeiss and large camera islands,
• vivo V: the mid-range, with a focus on design and the selfie camera,
• vivo Y: affordable models with large batteries and LCD or OLED screens,
• vivo T and vivo iQOO: phones geared towards performance and gaming,
• vivo S: models intended mainly for the Chinese market.

Tablets in the vivo Pad range and vivo Watch smartwatches have their own categories, with tablet cases, watch screen films and straps.

vivo cases: why the model matters

vivo often changes the shape and position of the camera island between generations, and even between versions of a single model, e.g. the standard and Pro. That is why you should always choose vivo cases by the full name of the phone, including suffixes such as 5G, Pro or Plus. In this category you will find clear cases that show off the colour of the phone, and matte black TPU cases that resist fingerprints.

On many X and V series models the screen is curved at the sides. Such phones need a case with a lip that rises slightly above the front, and flexible protectors or 3D glass for the screen.

Glass and film for vivo phones

vivo hybrid glass is a thin, flexible protector that guards against scratches and does not peel off when used with a case. Hydrogel films work well on curved screens, because they wrap around the curves right up to the frame. Also available:

• matte films and gaming films: they reduce glare and fingerprints,
• antibacterial films: with a coating that limits the growth of microbes,
• camera glass: it covers the lenses in protruding islands,
• back films: they protect the back from scratches without adding thickness.

The protective accessories come from brands such as 3MK and GrizzGlass. On screens with an in-display fingerprint reader, it is worth registering your fingerprint again after applying a protector.

How to choose accessories for a vivo phone

You can check the full model name in the phone settings, in the section with device information. Many vivo flagships support fast wired and wireless charging but have no magnets in the body, so magnetic mounts and chargers require a case with a built-in magnetic ring. Older and less popular models can be found in the Other vivo category, and accessories for phones from other manufacturers in the Other brands category.
