Honor Cases — How to Choose the Right Protection

Honor phones stand out for their slim build and striking backs — many people want to preserve this look while still protecting their device. Here are the most popular types of Honor phone cases:

• Clear silicone cases — showcase the phone's design, protect against minor impacts and scratches
• Hybrid cases (hard case) — rigid shell with a flexible frame, better protection against drops
• Rugged cases — reinforced corners, raised edges around the screen and camera, drop-tested
• Flip cases — screen protection, card slot, practical for everyday use
• Wallet cases — function as a wallet with space for documents, cards and cash

Tempered Glass and Screen Protectors for Honor

Screen protection is a key element of smartphone security. For Honor phones with flat displays (most N and X Series models), standard 2.5D tempered glass works well. Models with curved screens — such as the Honor Magic 7 Pro — are better protected with a hydrogel film or UV glass, which adheres to the entire surface.

When choosing glass, pay attention to hardness (minimum 9H) and the oleophobic coating, which reduces the visibility of fingerprints.

Popular Honor Models

Dedicated Honor cases are available for models including:

• Honor Magic 7 Lite — a mid-range model with a rich selection of cases
• Honor 400 Pro / 400 Lite — models in the numbered series
• Honor 200 / 200 Pro — a popular generation with a wide selection of protection
• Honor Magic 7 Pro — a flagship with an advanced camera, premium cases available
• Honor Magic 8 Lite — a continuation of the Lite line

Honor vs Huawei — Accessory Compatibility

Since becoming independent from Huawei, Honor designs its phones with their own dimensions and component layouts. Honor phone cases are not compatible with Huawei models, even if the series names (e.g. "Nova", "Mate") may look similar. Always choose an accessory dedicated to your specific Honor model.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does a case for the Honor 200 fit the Honor 400?

No — the Honor 400 and Honor 200 are devices with different dimensions and camera placements. Each generation requires a dedicated case. Before purchasing, make sure the chosen product is labelled for your specific model.

What is the difference between the Magic series and the N (numbered) series?

The Magic series represents Honor's flagship devices with the best cameras and processors. The numbered series (Honor 400, 200, etc.) is the mid-range segment with an attractive price point. Both segments have a wide range of accessories, but cases for flagship models often feature more advanced materials and constructions.

Does the Honor Watch use standard straps?

Most Honor Watch smartwatches use a standard quick-release attachment — you just need to check the strap width (usually 22 mm or 20 mm) and order a strap in the appropriate size. Universal quick-release straps from brands such as Tech-Protect or Crong fit without any issues.
