Galaxy A33 5G

Samsung Galaxy A33 5G — what to know before buying accessories

The Galaxy A33 5G is a model from the Samsung Galaxy A30 series. It has a flat 6.4-inch Super AMOLED screen with 1080 × 2400 resolution and a 90 Hz refresh rate, protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The front camera is in an Infinity-U teardrop notch. The body measures 159.7 × 74 × 8.1 mm and weighs about 186 g. The back is plastic with a matte finish, and the body is rated IP67.

The four cameras (48 MP main) sit on an island that rises from the back without a distinct edge. The fingerprint reader is optical, in the screen. The phone charges via USB-C at up to 25 W and has no 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Which case for the Galaxy A33 5G

The choice of cases for this model is wide:

• original Samsung cases — silicone and clear, with a hand strap, with a card pocket and flip cases with a window,
• clear and slim cases — from Spigen, PURO and 3MK, among others,
• rugged cases — Supcase, Urban Armor Gear, Spigen and Bizon, with clearly reinforced corners,
• flip cases and wallets — Dux Ducis, Nillkin, Tech-Protect and PURO,
• cases with a sliding camera cover — they cover the island when the phone is in your pocket.

Tempered glass, film and camera protection for the Galaxy A33 5G

Screen

The flat screen takes tempered glass, hybrid glass and films, including hydrogel, ceramic and matte gaming films that reduce fingerprints. The optical in-display reader works with glass as long as no air bubbles remain over the reader. You will find glass and films from 3MK, PanzerGlass, Hofi, GrizzGlass and Glastify, among others.

Camera

The camera island is clearly raised, so the lenses are easy to scratch. They are protected by camera glass or a camera island cover, which also changes its look. Before fitting, thoroughly degrease the glass over the lenses to avoid streaks in your photos.

What to look out for when buying

• Compatibility — the Galaxy A33 5G does not share cases with the Galaxy A32 LTE or the Galaxy A34. Exceptions are sometimes camera covers described as compatible with several models — go by the list in the product description.
• IP67 and cases — water resistance applies to the phone itself; if a flip case gets wet, it is worth taking it off and letting it dry.
• Charging — for up to 25 W you need a USB-C charger with PD/PPS support, available among our wall chargers.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Galaxy A33 5G support wireless charging?

The manufacturer's specification does not include wireless charging — the phone charges by cable via USB-C.

Does tempered glass block the in-display reader?

No, as long as it is applied properly. After fitting, register your fingerprint again so the reader works more reliably.
