Galaxy A36 5G

Galaxy A36 5G — specifications that matter for cases and glass

The Galaxy A36 5G is a model from the Samsung Galaxy A30 series. It has a flat 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen (1080 × 2340, 120 Hz) protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+, with the camera in a centred hole. The back is also covered with glass, and the frame is plastic. The body measures 162.9 × 78.2 × 7.4 mm, weighs about 195 g and is rated IP67.

The three cameras (50 MP main) are grouped vertically on a raised island in the top left corner. The fingerprint reader is in the screen. The phone charges by cable via USB-C at up to 45 W, but it does not support wireless charging.

Galaxy A36 5G cases — types

• cases with a finger grip — the grip doubles as a stand,
• flip cases and wallets — Tech-Protect, 3MK and Bizon,
• original Samsung cases — silicone, with a card pocket and reinforced,
• rugged cases — with a thick rim protecting the camera island,
• decorative cases — Guess and Karl Lagerfeld.

You will also find cases from Nillkin, Spigen and Mercury.

Tempered glass, film and camera protection for the Galaxy A36 5G

Screen

The flat screen takes tempered and hybrid glass, protective and matte films, and privacy protection — as glass or film. Screen protection is offered by Tech-Protect, Spigen and 3MK, among others, and Samsung offers an anti-reflective film. The in-display reader works with glass as long as there are no bubbles over it.

Camera

The raised island is the first point of contact with the table. Camera glass will protect the lenses from scratches, and a case with a higher rim around the island will protect them from knocks.

What to look out for when choosing Galaxy A36 5G accessories

• Compatibility with the Galaxy A56 5G — the Galaxy A56 5G has similar dimensions and a screen of the same size, which is why manufacturers label some cases and glass as compatible with both models. Accessories for the Galaxy A35 5G do not fit.
• Magnets — you can attach MagSafe accessories to a case with a ring: holders, wallets or stands.
• 45 W charger — fast charging requires a USB-C PD charger with PPS support and a cable rated for 5 A; choose from our wall chargers.

Frequently asked questions

Does a Galaxy A56 case fit the Galaxy A36?

It does when the manufacturer clearly states compatibility with both models. The differences in dimensions are small, but enough for a case made for one phone to hold the other less securely.

Does the Galaxy A36 5G support wireless charging?

No. Cases with magnets are used to attach accessories, not for charging.
