Huawei Mate 30 Pro is coming
Huawei Mate 30 is coming. What do we know about it? Which case and glass to choose?
At a conference in Munich on Thursday, the Huawei Mate was unveiled in three new versions. From now on, the older models will be replaced successively: Huawei Mate 30, Huawei Mate 30 Lite and Huawei Mate 30 Pro. This year's models will present a considerable number of changes and there will be stylistic novelties that will please the eye of many users. Among other things, the manufacturer plans to focus on the phone's glass body. Also new is a fingerprint reader built into the display.
What do we know about the new Huawei?
Glass casing
The Huawei Mate 30, the successor to the Huawei Mate 20, is made entirely of glass. The manufacturer has the intention to completely abandon both plastic and metal. As an added bonus, we'll be able to count on the Huawei Mate 30 Pro being IP68 certified for water and dust resistance.
New fingerprint reader
The next new feature we will experience on the Huawei Mate 30 is a fingerprint reader built into the display itself. We'll still experience a notch in the screen, as in last year's Huawei Mate 20. Its size is due to the modern facial recognition system.
AMOLED screen
In this year's Huawei Mate 30, we will see AMOLED screens made by BOE. As for the Mate 30 Pro versions, the screen is expected to be 6.71 inches diagonal. The interesting thing is that the company has taken a step back in some sense, which may make some sense. Specifically, the idea is to drop the QHD+ resolution and replace it with FHD+. However, there will still be a notch at the top, which will be quite small. In addition, the screen will offer a refresh rate of 90 Hz.
New processor and 5G module
Kirin 990 - is the new chip that this year's model will be powered by. It will come in versions of
4 GB and 5 GB. In addition, we will realize a graphics chip
ARM Mali G76 MP16 600. It is also interesting to note that the Huawei Mate 30 Pro will be equipped with a proprietary Balong 5000 modem supporting a 5G module.
The camera - the icing on the cake
On this topic, the manufacturer will offer a triple module in the
Huawei Mate 30 and a quadruple module in the Huawei Mate 30 Pro. These will feature a wide-angle lens, a telephoto lens, a standard lens and a depth detection sensor. In addition, we will experience a 10x zoom, which will be a treat for professional photographers.
System - with or without Android, however?
Rumors have been circulating for some time that Huawei's next models are to be without the Android we know and love. As standard, the new models are expected to run Android Q with the proprietary EMUI overlay version 10. Admittedly, it will most likely not have access to Google services, but the manufacturer will most likely bypass this by using the AOSP module, so most users are unlikely to feel this. There is also the option that the manufacturer will release a new variant with HarmonyOS, which is a curiosity as well as an alternative to the Android we already know.
Which case should we opt for?
The entire phone case is made of strong and hard glass. No glass is ever fully resistant to mechanical injuries, so we should opt for additional protection.
The available cases in our store not only cover the phone, but also protect it from the effects of drops and impacts. In anticipation of the release, we have prepared a range of protective cases and glasses, which will soon be revealed in the following categories:
Protective glass - an essential element
A properly selected protective glass should not affect the use of the phone in any way. It should be undetectable under your fingers. So, we do not recommend buying low-quality glasses, as they may not sufficiently protect our phone. It's worth browsing our range of tempered glasses dedicated to the latest Huawei models right from the launch and order one of them, even before you take possession of the device.
