Oppo Reno16 F / FS

Reno16 F and Reno16 FS — one body, two names

Both models measure around 158.2 × 74.9 mm, are 8.4–8.6 mm thick and weigh 194–196 g. They differ in memory, and in some markets also in battery and charging power, but not in body dimensions — so a case, glass or camera protector fits both phones. The AMOLED screen has a 6.57-inch diagonal, a 120 Hz refresh rate and a centrally placed front camera punch-hole. The frame is plastic, and the body meets the IP68 and IP69K standards.

On the back there is a camera island with three lenses: a 50 MP main camera with stabilisation, a 50 MP telephoto with 3.5× optical zoom and an 8 MP ultra-wide. The island protrudes above the back, so the case lip around it really matters.

Oppo Reno16 F / FS case — types

• Rugged cases — reinforced corners and a raised frame around the camera.
• Magnetic cases — the phone has no wireless charging, but a case with a built-in ring lets you use magnetic mounts and wallets.
• Silicone cases — soft, they don't add much thickness to an already sizeable phone.
• Clear cases — keep the colour of the back on show, including the pattern of the Pop White version.
• Flip cases — cover the large screen in your bag and have room for a card.

Reno16 F tempered glass, films and camera protection

For the 6.57-inch screen you can choose tempered glass — clear, with a black frame or matte — or privacy glass, which hides the content from people next to you. When buying screen glass, think about a lens protector at the same time. Hybrid glass and films — hydrogel, matte and ceramic — offer thinner protection. A back film will protect the rear if you don't use a case.

Camera lens protectors come as individual lens covers or as a cover for the whole island. They are cut for a specific lens layout, so choose products labelled F / FS — versions for the Reno16 and Reno16 Pro don't fit here.

Reno16 F / FS brands and charging

Accessories for the Reno16 F / FS are offered by brands such as BizonMobile, 3MK and GrizzGlass. The port is USB-C. Depending on the market, both models charge at up to 45 W (the international Reno16 F at up to 80 W) — choose an adapter in the wall chargers category, and for a magnetic case, a mount from the car mounts category will come in handy.

Frequently asked questions

Does a Reno16 case fit the Reno16 F?

No. The Oppo Reno16 and Oppo Reno16 Pro have a 6.32-inch screen and a shorter body, and their accessories won't fit the F and FS. The whole series is in the Oppo Reno16 Series category.

What is the difference between the Reno16 F and Reno16 FS?

Mainly memory — depending on the market, both can also come with a 6500 mAh battery and 45 W charging, while the international Reno16 F has a 7000 mAh battery and 80 W charging. The body and screen are the same, so accessories are shared.
