Oppo Reno16 Pro

Oppo Reno16 Pro — what matters when choosing accessories

The Reno16 Pro is small for a phone with such an advanced camera: it measures around 151.2 × 72.4 mm, is 8.2–8.4 mm thick (depending on the colour version) and weighs 188–191 g. The 6.32-inch AMOLED screen is flat and refreshes at up to 144 Hz. The frame is aluminium, and the body is IP68 and IP69K rated — so the case doesn't need to protect against water — its job is to protect against drops, scratches and dented edges. On the left side there is an extra AI button, so a good case has a cut-out or a clearly defined button at that spot.

On the back there are three cameras: a 200 MP main camera, a 50 MP telephoto lens with 3.5× optical zoom and a 50 MP ultra-wide. The island blends gently into the back, but the lens covers are still the first thing to touch the table when the phone lies screen up.

Oppo Reno16 Pro case — how to choose

• Silicone cases — thin and soft to the touch; good for everyday carrying in your pocket.
• Rugged cases — thicker corners and a higher lip around the camera; best paired with tempered glass on the screen.
• Flip cases — cover the screen in your bag and protect it from keys or coins.
• Clear cases — keep the colour and finish of the back on show.
• Cases with a magnetic ring — let you attach the phone to magnetic mounts; the Reno16 Pro itself does not charge wirelessly, so the ring is for mounting, not charging.

Reno16 Pro tempered glass, films and camera lens protectors

The flat screen makes choosing protection easy: tempered glass adheres across the whole surface and doesn't lift at the edges. Versions with a black frame mask the edges, matte ones reduce glare and fingerprints, and privacy glass narrows the screen's viewing angle. An applicator frame helps you fit the glass evenly first time. If you prefer a thinner layer, choose hybrid glass or a hydrogel, matte or ceramic film. If you carry your phone without a case, a back film will protect the rear.

A separate group are camera lens protectors — covers for individual lenses or for the whole island. Some protectors fit both the Reno16 and Reno16 Pro, while others are cut for the Pro's island, so here the model name in the product description is decisive.

Brands and charging

Accessories for the Reno16 Pro are offered by brands such as BizonMobile, 3MK and GrizzGlass. The phone charges via USB-C at up to 80 W with a compatible OPPO adapter; universal PPS chargers will charge it at up to 55 W. You will find a matching adapter and cable in the wall chargers and USB-C to USB-C cables categories.

Frequently asked questions

Does an Oppo Reno16 case fit the Reno16 Pro?

Yes, if both models are named in the case's title. The Oppo Reno16 and Reno16 Pro have the same body dimensions. It is different with the Oppo Reno16 F / FS — the 6.57-inch screen and larger body mean their accessories don't fit the Pro version. All models are gathered in the Oppo Reno16 Series category.

How do I check which Reno16 model I have?

The Pro version sold in international markets has the model number CPH2863 — you will find it in Settings, under About phone. The standard model is CPH2865.
