Accessories for the Vivo X500 series

The X series is vivo's line built around photography — for several generations the brand has been developing its cooperation with Zeiss and extensive gear for photographers within it. From the point of view of choosing accessories, however, something else matters most: variants within the same series do not share a body. They differ in diagonal, height and the shape of the camera island, so a case from one model will not work on another.

Models in the series

  • Vivo X500 — the base variant, usually the handiest in the series.
  • Vivo X500 Pro — the intermediate version with full photographic equipment.
  • Vivo X500 Pro Max — the top model with the most extensive camera module.

Accessories for the previous generation are gathered in Vivo X300 Series, and all of the brand's lines can be found in the Vivo X category.

How to match protection to your variant

The rule is simple: the model first, the type of accessory second. Check the exact designation of your phone in the settings — in a series where Pro and Pro Max versions sit side by side, being one variant off means a case with the cutout in the wrong place.

Accessory types in this series

  • Cases — from thin silicone to rugged ones with reinforced corners. The key parameter is the rim rising above the screen and above the camera island.
  • Tempered glass — 9H hardness, full glue versions bonded across the entire surface.
  • Hybrid glass and hydrogel films — flexible, they sit better on curved screen edges.
  • Magnetic cases — they supply the magnet ring that phones in this segment usually do not have in the body, and without which magnetic mounts and chargers will not hold.
  • Camera lens protectors — separate small glasses protecting the lenses against scratches.

Manufacturers in this segment usually add a simple protective case to the set. It is enough for the first few days, but it tends to be slippery and does not rise above the camera island — it is protection to be replaced, not the final one.

Compatibility between generations

Accessories from the previous series do not fit the new one. Successive generations change the body dimensions and above all the geometry of the camera module — and it is that which decides whether the cutout in the case lands on the lenses. The same rule applies to glass: a difference of a few millimetres in the diagonal means the edges do not line up with the screen panel.

The only accessories that remain universal are those unrelated to the body — power banks, cables and chargers.

Frequently asked questions

Do Vivo X300 series accessories fit the X500?

No. The body dimensions and the camera module layout change, so neither cases nor glass are interchangeable between generations.

How do the variants differ when choosing a case?

Above all in body size and the size of the lens island. Higher versions are usually larger and have a more extensive camera module, which calls for a case with a deeper rim around the camera.
