Opel protection films — from vans to hatchbacks

Opel is a brand you are just as likely to see as a family car as a working vehicle. On an Opel Combo Cargo or Opel Vivaro van, the sills and door handle cups take a knock with every load — from work boots, crates and pallets. That is why Opel vans — the Combo Cargo, Vivaro and Movano — get films for the sills, including the cargo door sills.

HeavyDuty or BodyShield — which to choose for Opel sills

HeavyDuty (Clear, White, Black) is a thick 0.8 mm door sill protection film with a matte, textured finish. It absorbs stone impacts, hides existing scratches and chips, and stands up to both brush and touchless car washes. It is the natural choice for a van, but also for an estate that carries a dog or equipment — such as the Astra J and Insignia A estates or the Zafira B.

BodyShield is a clear polyurethane paint protection film (PPF) that is invisible on the paintwork and self-heals after light scratches. On passenger models such as the Astra L, Corsa F, Mokka, Grandland and Frontera it protects, among other things, the sills, boot lip, door handle cups, headlights, bumper, wheel arches and pillars — the product name states the exact range of parts for a given model and model year. Faded pillars can be refreshed with black film or carbon-look film (BodyShield Carbon), which is also available for the boot lip.

Car screen protector for the Opel Astra, Corsa and Mokka

The CarDisplay Protection films fit the infotainment screens of the Astra K (7" and 8"), the Astra L with the 10" Pure Panel, the Corsa F and Mokka 2 (7" or 10"), the Grandland and Grandland X, Frontera, Crossland, Insignia B and Adam, as well as the Combo E, Vivaro and Movano vans. The multi-piece kits also cover the digital instrument cluster. The ceramic version keeps colours and touch sensitivity intact, while the matte version reduces glare and fingerprints.

How to choose Opel accessories

• Check the generation and body style — the Astra G, H, J, K and L all have different sills and headlights, and the hatchback differs from the estate.
• For screens, the size matters: the Corsa F, Mokka 2 and Grandland come with either a 7" or a 10" screen.
• For the door mirrors, choose ZeroDrop — a hydrophilic anti-rain film available for the Astra, Corsa D and E, Insignia, Zafira B and Vectra C, among others.

Opel is part of Stellantis, and the Combo and Vivaro share their design with vans from Peugeot and Citroën. The films, however, are cut for one specific model and cannot be swapped between brands.
