Thermomix TM6 — protective accessories for the 6.8" screen

Thermomix TM6 changed the way we use a kitchen appliance. The large 6.8-inch touchscreen is used not only to set cooking parameters — it is a fully fledged interface with the Cookidoo recipe browser, step-by-step guides and a weighing function. The more time you spend at the screen, the more exposed it is to damage.

Types of TM6 screen protection

The TM6 display has a diagonal comparable to a smartphone, so it is worth protecting it just as carefully. At homescreen.pl you will find:

• Protective films — classic, inexpensive protection against scratches. Practically invisible on the screen and does not affect touch sensitivity.
• 3mk FlexibleGlass hybrid glass — hard as glass (9H), flexible as film. It does not crack, and if damaged it is easy to replace.
• Decorative stickers — personalise the device while adding a protective layer.

The kitchen is a demanding environment

Steam, grease, wet hands, spices — the TM6 screen is exposed to factors a typical smartphone never encounters. Regular cleaning helps, but micro-scratches build up and over time reduce display readability. A good film or hybrid glass eliminates this problem.

TM6 vs other Thermomix models

The TM6 screen is almost twice as large as on the older TM5 model (3.5"), which means completely different dimensions for protective accessories. The Thermomix TM7 , in turn, introduces an even larger display — accessories for the TM6 and TM7 are not fully interchangeable, so when buying make sure you choose the version designed for the TM6.

How to apply screen protection correctly?

Before applying, wash and dry the display thoroughly. It is best done in a room without steam or dust — in other words, not in the kitchen while cooking. The films and hybrid glass in our range have an adhesive layer that lets you correct the position in the first few seconds after applying. If an air bubble appears, you can gently push it out with the squeegee included in the set.
