Thermomix TM5 — touchscreen protection

For years the Thermomix TM5 was Vorwerk's flagship kitchen appliance, and it still serves in thousands of kitchens. Its 3.5-inch touchscreen is the control centre — it is where you browse recipes and set the temperature and cooking time. A screen of this size is, however, exposed to scratches, chips and marks left by wet or greasy fingers.

Which protective accessories for the Thermomix TM5?

How does the TM5 differ from later models?

Compared with the Thermomix TM6 and Thermomix TM7, the TM5 has a much smaller screen (3.5" vs 6.8") and does not offer a WiFi connection or access to the Cookidoo platform. This means that protective accessories for the TM5 have different dimensions from those made for later generations — when buying, check compatibility with your specific model.

What to look out for when choosing?

First of all, check that the film or glass you choose is made specifically for the TM5 — universal protectors often do not fit the smaller screen.
