Xiaomi Smart Band 11 — what to know before buying accessories

The Xiaomi Smart Band 11 has a 1.72-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 212 × 520 pixels, covered with 2.5D glass with slightly rounded edges. The body measures 47.44 × 23.66 × 9.99 mm (excluding the heart rate sensor bump) — it is thinner, but slightly longer and wider than the Smart Band 10. The frame of the standard and NFC versions is aluminium, and of the Ceramic edition — ceramic. The band is 5ATM water resistant, charges with a magnetic clip, and the original strap fits wrists of 135–210 mm.

Alongside the standard version there is the Xiaomi Smart Band 11 Active — a cheaper model with a 1.47-inch TFT screen. It has a different body and different screen dimensions, so accessories for the two bands are not interchangeable.

The band's screen is constantly exposed to scuffs, so protecting the glass is the essential accessory. For both versions you can choose flexible hydrogel films, made by brands such as GrizzGlass and BizonMobile. Hydrogel is flexible, so it also adheres well to the rounded edges of the 2.5D glass, where rigid protection often lifts. Small bubbles under a hydrogel film usually disappear on their own within a few hours of application. When choosing, check the product name to see whether it is meant for the standard version or the Active.

Xiaomi Smart Band 11 straps — fitting and compatibility

The Smart Band 11 strap attaches with a quick-release clip — the latch slides straight into the band's body until it clicks, with no tools needed. On Xiaomi's official compatibility list, Smart Band 8, 9 and 10 straps are interchangeable with each other, but the Smart Band 11 is not listed, and its body has different dimensions. Meanwhile, according to Xiaomi, the Smart Band 11 Active does not work with straps from other bands. Straps from the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 / 9 / 10 category are therefore not a safe choice — for the Smart Band 11, choose straps whose description names this model.

When choosing a material, bear in mind Xiaomi's advice: leather, metal and braided straps are not suitable for swimming or intense workouts. For sport, silicone or TPU is a better choice.

What to look out for — charging and band variants

• The Smart Band 11 charges with the included magnetic clip — Xiaomi recommends using the original cable.
• According to Xiaomi, the Smart Band 11 Active works with, among others, the charging cable from the Smart Band 10 Pro.
• The NFC version uses the same accessories as the standard version.
