Earbuds sit in the outer ear — they do not enter the ear canal like in-ear headphones. The absence of sealing tips means greater comfort during extended wear and better ear ventilation, but weaker isolation from the surroundings.

Earbuds vs in-ear — when to choose which

• Earbuds — more comfortable for longer periods, you hear your surroundings (street safety), less bass, no passive isolation
• In-ear — better isolation, stronger bass, ANC, but may cause discomfort over time

• Office work — hear your colleagues and music at the same time
• Walks and commutes — awareness of street traffic
• People sensitive to pressure — no tips in the canal means zero discomfort

What to look for

Bluetooth 5.3+ ensures a stable connection and low power consumption. Battery life: 4-6h solo + 20-25h with the case. Water resistance at least IPX4 for sweaty ears. Check whether the shape fits your ears — earbuds come in a universal size, but ear anatomy varies from person to person.
