MEROSS MS605MAT-EU is an advanced presence sensor utilizing triple detection (mmWave radar, PIR, and light sensor), which ensures precise motion and presence detection within a range of up to 6 meters. With support for Matter over Thread, it operates quickly and stably, and the lack of a need for an additional Meross hub simplifies installation. Its compact design measuring 77 × 35 × 48.5 mm, battery power supply, and IP67 resistance make it suitable for various conditions – both indoors and outdoors.
Precise Detection with Triple Sensor System
The combination of 24 GHz mmWave radar, PIR sensor, and light sensor allows for very accurate presence detection – even with minimal movement. The low-power radar adapts to the surrounding conditions, ensuring quick responses and reducing false alarms. The presence detection range is up to 4 meters, and the motion detection range is up to 6 meters, allowing effective monitoring of rooms of various sizes.
Matter over Thread Connectivity and Wide Compatibility
The device communicates using Thread technology, ensuring stable and energy-efficient operation. A compatible Thread Border Router is required for integration with platforms such as Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, or SmartThings. The sensor works with devices like HomePod Mini, Apple TV 4K, Google Nest Hub, or Echo devices, making it easy to integrate into an existing smart home system.
Advanced Customization and Zone Control
The space division feature into 7 zones allows for precise definition of the sensor's operating area and elimination of unwanted detections, such as from fans or plants. Additionally, it is possible to create virtual sensors within a single device, significantly enhancing automation capabilities. Depending on the platform, various features are available – for example, Apple Home allows for automations based on presence and light intensity, enabling the creation of more advanced action scenarios.
Long Battery Life and Environmental Resistance
The sensor is powered by a CR123A battery, which provides up to 36 months of operation without the need for replacement. The housing meets the IP67 standard, meaning it is fully resistant to dust and water, and the operating temperature range of -20°C to 60°C allows for use in demanding environments. The "Do Not Disturb" mode allows for the LED and low battery notifications to be turned off, which is particularly useful at night.
