MEROSS EM01 Intelligent meter reading head
Description
The Meross EM01 smart meter reading head lets you monitor electricity consumption and the amount of energy fed back into the grid, e.g.
from a photovoltaic installation. It attaches magnetically to a compatible meter, without interfering with the electrical installation or modifying the measuring device. It records data with one-minute accuracy and makes it available in the Meross app.

Key features
- Power adapter
Daily, weekly and monthly statistics
Statistics can be analysed on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, which helps determine when energy consumption is highest. Clear charts make it easy to compare results. This makes it easier to spot unnecessary energy use and introduce changes that can lower bills.
Measurement history in the cloud and locally
Daily measurement data can be stored in the cloud for up to 5 years, while detailed readings with one-minute accuracy are kept for up to 2 months. In local memory, minute data is retained for at least 3 months. You can therefore go back to earlier results and assess how savings affect energy consumption.
Operation without Internet access
The reading head also supports local communication over a Wi-Fi network, so the Meross app keeps working even during an Internet outage. The condition is that the smartphone and the reading head are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. With an unstable connection, this is a convenient way to keep checking readings.
Tariffs and estimated costs
Using the Meross app, you can calculate estimated energy costs in advance. The ability to set up energy tariffs yourself lets you match the calculations to your individual electricity rates. Measurement history helps you compare expenses across different periods.
Integration with Home Assistant
Meross EM01 works with the Home Assistant platform via the Meross_RPC integration, without the need to install modified software. Data on energy consumption and feed-in will be used to build home automations. With a properly configured system combined with a photovoltaic installation, the device can support management of surplus energy.
