POCO F4 GT

POCO F4 GT – design features that affect your choice of accessories

The POCO F4 GT is a gaming smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. It has a flat 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus, an aluminium frame and a glass back. According to the specifications, it measures 162.5 × 76.7 × 8.5 mm and weighs 210 g. The edge of the frame houses two magnetic pop-up gaming triggers, which can also be mapped to other functions, such as the camera or the flashlight. The battery supports 120 W wired charging. On the back there is a triple camera setup with a 64 MP main lens.

In China, the same phone is called the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition (K50 GE). Accessories labelled with that name fit the POCO F4 GT. Products for the POCO F4 5G, however, do not fit – it is a different model with a different body.

POCO F4 GT cases – access to the triggers

The most important thing when choosing a case is the cut-outs for the pop-up buttons. A good F4 GT case has openings where the triggers sit, so you can raise and press them without taking the case off. In this category you will find:

• Silicone cases – soft, also available with a finger ring, which comes in handy when watching videos.
• Matte and clear cases – thin and light, they barely add to the thickness of the phone.
• Cases with a camera cover and card pocket – a sliding shutter covers the lenses.
• Cases with a hard back – a stiffer construction with a soft bumper.

Tempered glass and screen protector for POCO F4 GT

The flat screen allows full-coverage tempered glass with a black frame. Alternatives include hybrid glass, protective and hydrogel films, antimicrobial film and gaming films with a smooth surface your finger glides across without resistance. Matte privacy glass reduces glare and hides the screen content from people next to you.

Screen protection while gaming

During long gaming sessions, touch sensitivity and freedom from fingerprints matter most. Thin hybrid glass and films do not noticeably change the response of the 120 Hz screen, and matte surfaces reduce glare when playing in a bright room. Thicker tempered glass offers better drop protection, but can feel more slippery under your finger.

Camera and back protection

The glass back of the F4 GT scratches easily, and the camera island sticks out above the body. Camera glass covers the lenses, while a back film protects the glass of the body when you play without a case and want full access to the triggers.

What to look for when choosing?

• Check whether the case has cut-outs for the triggers – without them, the buttons will not pop up.
• For 120 W charging, use a compatible charger; if you need a spare one, have a look at the wall chargers category.
• For gaming, accessories from the Gaming category will also come in handy.

You will find accessories for other models in this line in the POCO F Series category, and for its Chinese counterpart in the Redmi K50 Series category.
