POCO X4 Pro 5G

POCO X4 Pro 5G — specs that matter when choosing accessories

The POCO X4 Pro 5G has a flat 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate, protected by Gorilla Glass 5. The body measures 164.19 × 76.1 × 8.12 mm and weighs 205 g. The phone is IP53 rated against dust and splashes, has a 5000 mAh battery with 67 W charging over USB-C and three rear cameras, including a 108 MP main sensor in the global version.

The internals and body shape come from the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, but POCO got its own back with a camera island stretching across the full width. This decides which case to pick: a case designed for the Redmi may not leave the POCO lenses uncovered. Look for products described as POCO X4 Pro 5G.

POCO X4 Pro 5G cases — types

Flip cases

Book and wallet cases cover the screen, have room for cards, and some have a window for checking notifications. In this group you will find faux leather and fabric versions, from Tech-Protect and Nillkin among others.

Rugged and matte

Cases with reinforced corners and a raised lip around the camera island protect the phone when it falls. Matte TPU cases, including ones with a carbon-fibre-style texture, sit well in the hand and do not collect fingerprints. Spigen, Tech-Protect and 3mk, among others, make such designs.

Clear and with camera cover

Clear cases show off the original colour of the phone. Models with a sliding shutter cover the wide camera island when you are not using it.

Tempered glass, hybrid glass and films for POCO X4 Pro 5G

• Tempered glass — rigid, with a black frame or fully clear; works well on the flat panel.
• Hybrid glass — thin and flexible, less prone to edge cracking.
• Gaming and matte films — reduce glare and improve finger glide while gaming.
• Hydrogel, ceramic and antibacterial films — conform to the edges of the screen.
• Privacy glass — narrows the screen viewing angle.
• Camera glass and back film — protect the lenses and the back panel from scratches.

What to look out for when choosing accessories

• Telling models apart — the POCO X4 GT and POCO X5 Pro 5G have different bodies, so their cases do not fit the X4 Pro 5G.
• Case and glass together — choose glass that does not slide under the lip of the case, otherwise it will start lifting at the edges.
• 67 W charging — for full power you need a suitable wall charger and a USB-C cable.

Accessories for the younger POCO X6 Pro 5G and other models are in the POCO X Series category.

Frequently asked questions

Does a Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G case fit the POCO X4 Pro 5G?

Do not count on it. The bodies are similar, but the POCO camera island is wider and shaped differently, so the cut-out in a Redmi case may cover the lenses.

Is the POCO X4 Pro 5G waterproof?

It is IP53 rated, which means protection against dust and splashes. It is not designed to be submerged in water.
