Galaxy A18

Samsung Galaxy A18 — what matters when choosing accessories

The Galaxy A18 is Samsung's budget smartphone with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ display. The body measures 164.4 × 77.9 × 7.7 mm and weighs around 196 g, and the IP64 rating means it is dust-tight and splash-resistant — not waterproof for immersion. On the back there is a triple camera setup, and charging is via USB-C at up to 25 W. There is no wireless charging, which affects the choice of magnetic cases.

Samsung Galaxy A18 case — how to choose

There are several types of case for the Galaxy A18, differing in the level of protection and convenience:

• Clear and silicone cases — thin and light, they don't hide the colour of the phone. Good for everyday use if you want a low profile.
• Rugged cases — reinforced corners and a raised bezel around the screen and cameras. Some models have a sliding lens cover.
• Flip cases — they cover the screen, have card pockets and double as a stand for watching videos.
• Cases with a magnetic ring (MagSafe compatible) — let you attach the phone to a magnetic car mount or wallet. However, the Galaxy A18 cannot be charged from a magnetic power bank or a wireless charger.

Galaxy A18 tempered glass and screen protectors

The flat screen makes fitting protection easy — tempered glass works well, as do thinner hybrid glass and film. You can also choose privacy glass, which limits visibility of the screen from the side, matte films that reduce reflections and ceramic films, which are more flexible than glass. Separately, you can pick a camera lens protector and a back film that protects the body from scratches.

Galaxy A18 accessory brands

Accessories for the Galaxy A18 are made by brands such as Tech-Protect, GrizzGlass, BizonMobile and Samsung itself.

What to look out for — compatibility with the Galaxy A17 and A26

The Galaxy A18 has very similar dimensions to the Galaxy A17, so some manufacturers describe their cases as fitting both models, and some also the Galaxy A26. Treat this as a feature of a specific product, not a rule — with glass and back films, the fit depends on the cut-outs and the shape of the camera island. Always check that the Galaxy A18 is named in the product title. Older generations, such as the Galaxy A16, have their own categories, and you will find the whole range in the Galaxy A10 Series section.

Fast charging requires a USB-C Power Delivery charger with PPS rated at 25 W or more — you can choose one in the wall chargers category.

Frequently asked questions

Does a Galaxy A17 case fit the Galaxy A18?

The two phones are very close in size, and some manufacturers state that their cases fit both models. Choose cases whose description mentions the Galaxy A18 — that way the camera and button cut-outs will be in the right place.

Is a MagSafe case worth it for the Galaxy A18?

Yes, if you use magnetic mounts, stands or wallets. The phone does not support wireless charging, so the magnet won't be used for charging.
