Moto G06 and G06 Power: differences that matter for accessories

The Moto G06 belongs to the Moto G00 series and has a large 6.88-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 720 × 1640, protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The body meets the IP64 standard. This category also covers the Moto G06 Power, the version with a 7000 mAh battery instead of 5200 mAh.

• Moto G06: 171.35 × 77.5 × 8.31 mm, approx. 194 g,
• Moto G06 Power: 171.4 × 77.5 × 8.8 mm, 220 g, vegan leather back, 18 W charging.

The front of both versions has the same dimensions, so screen glass and films usually fit both phones. The difference in thickness is about half a millimetre: manufacturers make many cases in a single cut for the G06 and G06 Power, but some camera and screen protection is described separately for each version. Go by the label in the product name.

Tempered glass and screen film for the Moto G06

The large, flat screen is easy to protect. You can choose from:

• tempered glass: clear or with a black frame, also 2.5D glass with rounded edges,
• hybrid glass: thin and flexible, works well with cases,
• hydrogel and multi-layer films: they absorb minor impacts and adhere to the whole surface,
• matte and privacy films: less glare, or protection of your content from the eyes of people next to you,
• antimicrobial films and lens protectors for the 50 MP camera.

Cases for the Moto G06 and G06 Power

A flexible clear case made of TPU keeps the look of the phone and adds little thickness. A rugged case has reinforced corners and a raised lip around the screen and the camera island, which helps with the heavier G06 Power, as it hits the ground with greater force when dropped. Sets of a case with screen film or glass are a convenient option.

Charging and cables

Both models charge via USB-C. An 18 W charger is enough for the G06 Power; a more powerful adapter will not charge it faster than the phone allows. When replacing the cable, take a look at USB-A to USB-C cables, and for longer trips power banks.

Brands

Protection for the Moto G06 is made by brands such as Bizon, 3MK, GrizzGlass and MyScreen. The older Moto G05 has its own category, so choose accessories for it by its label.

Frequently asked questions

Does Moto G06 glass fit the G06 Power?

Usually yes, as the screen and width are the same. Some manufacturers do offer separate versions, though, so check the compatibility details.

Will a G06 case fit the G06 Power?

Many cases are shared between both versions. If the product description does not mention the Power version, it may be too tight on the thicker G06 Power.
