Tempered glass for Galaxy S25 Ultra

Tempered glass for Galaxy S25 Ultra — what matters

The Galaxy S25 Ultra is the largest model in the Galaxy S25 series — a 6.9-inch flat Dynamic AMOLED 2X at QHD+ (3120×1440), 120 Hz and 2600 nits peak brightness. Unlike older Ultra generations (up to the S23 Ultra), the screen is completely flat with no curves — which simplifies installation and enables full-adhesive application. The Grade-5 titanium frame resists dents, but the Gorilla Glass Armor 2-topped display still needs a tempered glass for Galaxy S25 Ultra to stay scratch-free.

Glass types for the S25 Ultra — which to pick

• 2.5D with black border — a classic, edges hidden under the frame.
• Full glue — adhesive across the entire surface, ideal for the flat screen, no rainbow effect, better touch response.
• Case-friendly — 1 mm narrower, doesn't clash with cases, including rugged ones.
• Anti-blue light — yellowish filter, cuts blue light emission during late-evening work.
• Privacy — narrowed viewing angle (~45°), readable only head-on — great for office and transit.

What to check before buying

The Galaxy S25 Ultra uses the Qualcomm 3D Sonic Max ultrasonic fingerprint reader, which works through most 0.33 mm 9H glass. After installing new glass, delete stored prints and enrol them again — the scanner calibrates to the new layer within seconds. Important: the S Pen in the Galaxy S25 Ultra no longer has Bluetooth that earlier generations featured — features like remote shutter and air gestures have been dropped. Tempered glass does not affect the active digitizer layer, so the S Pen writes through the glass without lag. The Ultra display reaches a peak of 2600 nits, and good glass with high transparency does not noticeably reduce brightness.

For full protection we recommend Galaxy S25 Ultra camera glass (200+50+50+10 MP module), a Galaxy S25 Ultra case, plus browse hybrid glass and a screen film. Full range on the Galaxy S25 Ultra page.

Frequently asked questions

Does S25 tempered glass fit the Ultra?

No. Galaxy S25 has a 6.2" screen, Galaxy S25+ Plus a 6.7", and Galaxy S25 Ultra a 6.9" screen. Body dimensions and cut-out positions for the selfie camera and earpiece all differ. Glass is not interchangeable — check that the pack says "S25 Ultra".

Does the S Pen work normally under tempered glass?

Yes, the S Pen on the Galaxy S25 Ultra writes through standard-thickness 9H glass without lag. Note that Samsung has removed Bluetooth from the S Pen in the S25 Ultra — no more remote shutter or air gestures. The stylus itself works passively via digitizer induction.

Does the ultrasonic fingerprint reader still work under glass?

Yes. The Galaxy S25 Ultra features a Qualcomm 3D Sonic Max scanner that reads through most 0.33 mm 9H glass. After installing new glass, delete stored prints and re-enrol — calibration takes a few seconds.

How to install glass with UV gel?

Glass installed with a lamp-cured UV gel (the lamp is usually included in the set) is a premium solution. You apply the gel to the screen, place the glass and shine the lamp for 3 minutes. Result: perfect adhesion with no bubbles, good for curved and flat screens. On the Galaxy S25 Ultra it performs excellently thanks to the flat panel.
