Oppo K9

Oppo K9 – four different models under one name

The K9 series consists of Oppo smartphones sold mainly in China. Although they share a name, they differ in screen and body dimensions:

• Oppo K9 5G – 6.43-inch AMOLED screen, dimensions of approximately 159.1 × 73.4 × 7.9 mm, weight 172 g, 65 W charging.
• Oppo K9 Pro – 6.43-inch AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate, approximately 158.7 × 73.5 × 8.5 mm, 180 g, 60 W charging.
• Oppo K9s – a larger 6.59-inch LCD screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate, approximately 164.4 × 75.9 × 8.5 mm, 199 g.
• Oppo K9x – 6.49-inch 90 Hz LCD screen, approximately 162.2 × 74.8 × 8.8 mm, 194 g, 33 W charging.

Even the K9 5G and K9 Pro, which share the same screen size, have different thicknesses and slightly different body dimensions, so accessories are not interchangeable between the variants. You can check your model in the phone's settings, in the device information section.

Glass or film for Oppo K9?

All K9 variants have flat screens, so installing protection is straightforward. Hybrid glass gives a harder, smoother surface and copes better with impacts from sharp objects. Hydrogel film is soft and covers the screen better right up to the edges. The choice depends on whether you care more about the feel of glass under your finger or full screen coverage.

Oppo K9 glass and screen protection

Hybrid glass

A thin, flexible layer with a hardness close to that of glass. It works well on the flat screens of all K9 variants and does not lift when used with a case with a high lip.

Hydrogel film

A soft film that adheres well to the entire screen surface and smooths out minor scratches over time. Available for the K9s and K9x.

Matte privacy glass

Narrows the viewing angle, so people next to you see a dark screen. The matte surface also reduces glare and finger marks. It is available for all four variants.

Oppo K9 back and camera protection

Back film is a good solution if you do not like cases – it protects the back of the body from scratches and scuffs, and the phone keeps its slim shape. Camera glass shields the protruding lenses of the K9s and K9x from contact with hard surfaces.

How to choose accessories for Oppo K9?

• Make sure which variant you have – the 5G, Pro, s or x suffix in the product name must match.
• Hybrid glass and hydrogel film are easier to apply than rigid glass and work better with cases.
• For fast charging of the K9 5G and K9 Pro, a wall charger supporting SUPERVOOC or a compatible standard will come in handy.

You will find accessories for later generations in the Oppo K10 and Oppo K12 categories, and the whole line in the Oppo K category.
