Tempered glass for Galaxy A56

Tempered glass for Galaxy A56 5G — what matters

The Samsung Galaxy A56 5G is a mid-ranger — a 6.7-inch 120 Hz Super AMOLED display, Exynos 1580 chip, 50+12+5 MP cameras and IP67 water resistance. The screen is flat, topped with Gorilla Glass Victus+ and an optical in-display fingerprint reader. Replacing the display at a service centre is expensive, while a solid tempered glass for Galaxy A56 is a small expense.

Glass types — which to pick

• 2.5D with black border — classic choice, frame masks the edges, hassle-free application.
• Full glue — adhesive across the entire surface, ideal for the flat A56 screen, no rainbow effect.
• Case-friendly — 1 mm narrower, doesn't clash with cases, including rugged ones.
• Anti-blue light — filter that reduces AMOLED blue light emission, less eye strain in the evening.
• Privacy — narrowed viewing angle, readable only head-on.

Tempered glass brands for Galaxy A56

• 3mk — Polish brand of tempered and hybrid glass
• Spigen — sets with an applicator frame that make the first installation easier
• Tech-Protect — budget sets, often with camera glass
• Bizon — full-glue 9H glass, Polish brand
• Ringke — full-coverage glass with oleophobic coating

What to check before buying

The Galaxy A56 uses an optical in-display fingerprint reader (unlike the ultrasonic one in the S25 series). An optical reader is more sensitive to glass thickness — standard 0.33 mm 9H glass works fine, but thicker variants (0.5 mm+) can cause delays or recognition errors. After installing new glass, delete stored prints and re-enrol, pressing the finger with a slight, firm contact — optical sensors read sharp contrast better than light touch. The IP67 rating covers body and port sealing (1 m fresh water for 30 minutes), but the screen itself still scratches — a tempered glass is a must. Always On Display works through the glass with no loss of image quality.

For a full kit we recommend Galaxy A56 camera glass (50+12+5 MP module), a Galaxy A56 case, plus alternatives — hybrid glass for Galaxy A56 and a screen film. Full accessory range on the Galaxy A56 5G page.

Frequently asked questions

Does Galaxy A55 glass fit the A56?

No. Galaxy A55 and A56 have different body dimensions and differing cut-out positions for the selfie camera and earpiece. Glass is not interchangeable — check that the package says "A56", not "A55" or "A54".

Does the in-display fingerprint reader work with tempered glass?

Yes, with one caveat. Galaxy A56 has an optical in-display fingerprint reader, more sensitive to glass thickness than the ultrasonic one in the S25 series. Standard 0.33 mm 9H glass works fine — after installation delete stored prints and re-enrol. Avoid glass thicker than 0.4 mm.

Can you install glass on an IP67 phone?

Yes, tempered glass doesn't affect A56 body sealing. The IP67 rating covers the body and ports, not the screen surface. After contact with sea or chlorinated water, rinse the phone with fresh water — salt and chlorine can damage the oleophobic coating over time.

How to install glass without bubbles on the flat A56 screen?

Clean the screen with a microfibre cloth and the alcohol wipe from the kit, lift dust with sticky tape, peel the liner marked 1 and drop the glass from the top down. Sets with an applicator frame position the glass automatically — just lower it in. Air bubbles disappear on their own within seconds.
