Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G

Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G — what matters when choosing accessories

According to Xiaomi's specifications, the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G measures 163.45 × 78.27 × 8.6 mm and weighs 223 g. The front is taken up by a 6.83-inch AMOLED display protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and the body is IP66 and IP68 rated. The phone charges at up to 67 W wired via the USB-C port — the specifications do not include wireless charging.

The Pro label can be misleading in this series. The standard Redmi Note 17 has a larger 6.99-inch screen and is more than 6 mm taller, so its accessories don't fit the Pro version. It is much closer to the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G — both models have the same screen and an almost identical body outline.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G case — how to choose

• Flexible cases — clear or semi-transparent with a coloured frame; thin, they don't change the look of the phone.
• Rugged cases — with thickened corners, for those who often drop their phone.
• Cases with a camera cover — with a sliding shutter over the lenses that protects them in your pocket and bag.
• Magnetic cases — with a built-in magnetic ring that lets you use magnetic mounts and wallets.
• Flip cases — wallet-style, also covering the screen.

Redmi Note 17 Pro tempered glass and screen protectors

The flat screen makes tempered glass easy to fit — it adheres across the whole surface and doesn't lift at the edges. You can choose clear glass, glass with a black frame that masks the edge, anti-glare matte glass and privacy glass that narrows the viewing angle. Versions with an applicator frame make it easier to position the glass evenly. Alternatives are flexible hybrid glass and hydrogel, matte and ceramic films, and for the back — a film that protects against scratches. Separate camera lens protectors will cover the lenses.

What is shared with the Pro Max and what isn't

Screen glass and films described as made for the Pro 5G / Pro Max 5G fit both models. Manufacturers make cases and lens protectors separately for each variant, so check the exact model name for these.

Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G accessory brands

Accessories come from brands such as BizonMobile, Tech-Protect, GrizzGlass and 3mk. Case and tempered glass bundles are a convenient option — they let you protect the whole phone straight away. The protective case included in the box offers basic protection, and it is worth replacing it with a model that suits your own needs.

Charging the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G

No charger is included in the box, and the phone reaches its full 67 W with an adapter that supports USB Power Delivery fast charging. You can choose a suitable model among our wall chargers, and a cable among the USB-C to USB-C cables. The same port supports wired reverse charging, so the phone can top up earbuds or a watch.

Frequently asked questions

Does a Redmi Note 17 Pro case fit the Pro Max?

You shouldn't assume so. The two phones have an almost identical outline, but cases are designed separately for each model, and they differ in thickness and camera, among other things. The safe choice is a case with your variant's name.

Does Redmi Note 17 glass fit the Pro version?

No. The standard model has a larger 6.99-inch screen, so its glass would overhang the screen of the Pro version. Other variants are in the Redmi Note 17 series accessories category.
