Screen Film Galaxy A57

Screen Protector Films for the Samsung Galaxy A57

The IP67-rated Galaxy A57 is resistant to water and dust, but its FHD+ 2340 x 1080 pixel display still needs protection against mechanical damage. Screen protector film for Galaxy A57 is the thinnest and lightest form of protection — it does not change the profile of the slim 6.9 mm body, does not add to the 182 g weight and keeps the 120 Hz touchscreen fully responsive.

Types of Screen Protector Films for the Galaxy A57

• Hydrogel films — a modern form of screen protection. Their key feature is self-healing: minor scratches "close up" within a few hours under the influence of heat. Wet application — the film conforms to the screen without bubbles, which is easier than applying tempered glass.
• TPU (polyurethane) films — flexible, durable and adhere well to the edges of the 6.6-inch screen. They withstand repeated removal and reapplication. A proven material that has been on the market for years.
• Matte (anti-glare) films — eliminate reflections, improving screen readability in sunlight. They give the screen a slightly matte texture, which some users prefer to a smooth surface.
• Privacy films — a privacy filter that limits content visibility to an angle of approx. 30°. People sitting next to you on the bus or in the office will not see what is on your display.

Film or Glass — Which to Choose for the Galaxy A57?

A protective film is thinner, lighter and cheaper than Galaxy A57 tempered glass. However, it does not offer the same protection against cracks after a hard drop. Film mainly protects against scratches — from keys in your pocket, sand and small objects. A compromise is Galaxy A57 hybrid glass, which combines the flexibility of film with greater hardness.

With the slim 6.9 mm body of the Galaxy A57, film has an extra advantage — it does not thicken the phone's profile. Tempered glass adds 0.3-0.5 mm, which is noticeable on such a thin design.

Hydrogel — Self-Healing Protection

Hydrogel films are the choice for Galaxy A57 users looking for "maintenance-free" screen protection. The hydrogel material repairs minor scratches by itself — the polymer layer fills in scratches under the influence of ambient heat or the warmth of your hand. The film stays clear longer than traditional TPU films and does not yellow over time. Wet application (water install) eliminates the risk of air bubbles.

What to Look for When Buying?

• Compatibility with your Galaxy A57 case — the film should adhere to the screen well enough not to lift at the edges once the case is on.
• Fingerprint reader — the Galaxy A57 has an in-display reader. Films from 3mk and Spigen are optimised for it to work properly.
• Kit contents — most packs include 2-3 films plus a microfibre cloth and a squeegee for application.

For complete protection of the Galaxy A57, add Galaxy A57 camera glass, which protects the protruding lenses on the back of the phone.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does a film affect the brightness of the AMOLED screen?

Clear films (hydrogel and TPU) have light transmission above 95% — the difference in brightness and colours is invisible to the naked eye. Matte films slightly alter colour reproduction but in return eliminate glare in sunlight.

Can a protective film replace tempered glass?

Film effectively protects against scratches and everyday wear, but it does not protect against cracks as well as 9H tempered glass. In normal use — phone in your pocket, on the desk or in a bag — film is sufficient protection. If you lead an active lifestyle and drop your phone often, it is better to choose Galaxy A57 tempered glass.
