A stand is a simple yet effective way to improve ergonomics when working with mobile devices. Positioning the screen at eye level relieves the cervical spine, and elevating a laptop improves airflow beneath the casing.

Types of stands in our range

• Phone and tablet stands — desk stands with adjustable angles, foldable travel holders, stands with weighted bases. Useful for video calls, cooking with a recipe on screen and watching films
• Laptop stands — aluminium risers that elevate the screen to eye level, models with built-in cooling fans, adjustable X-type stands

What to look for when choosing?

Angle adjustment — multi-position adjustment lets you set the screen comfortably whether at a desk or on a sofa. Material — aluminium dissipates heat and looks premium, plastic is lighter and cheaper. Foldability — if you carry the stand in a backpack, check the folded dimensions and weight. Non-slip pads — silicone feet prevent sliding and protect the device from scratches.

Can a phone stand hold a tablet?

It depends on the design. Smaller stands (up to about 7") will only hold a phone. Stands labelled "phone/tablet" have a wider cradle and a more stable construction — they will hold an iPad or Galaxy Tab without any issues.

Does a cooling laptop stand actually lower the temperature?

Yes, but the effect depends on the model. Stands with fans lower the casing temperature by 3-8 degrees Celsius. Simply elevating the laptop (even without a fan) improves natural cooling by increasing airflow beneath the device.
