FAQ - frequently asked questions
What is nominal capacity and why is it different from battery capacity?
The nominal capacity of the device is the total sum of the capacity of all cells. In practice, depending on the method of discharge, for example, using USB-C port voltage of 5V-2A or wireless 15W, the voltage conversion occurs and the usable capacity will be about 65-70% of the nominal capacity. For devices using voltages higher than 5V (QC, PD, Supercharge), the usable capacity will be correspondingly lower.
Does MagSynergy™ meet airline standards?
Yes, MagSynergy™ can be successfully brought on board an airplane because it has no more capacity than 100Wh (i.e. about 27000mAh).
What devices does the MagSynergy™ work with?
MagSafe charging is compatible with all Iphones from the 12 series upwards, while the power bank also supports the Qi charging standard and wired charging, so it will successfully charge any device that has a USB port and Qi wireless charging.
What is Pass-Through technology?
Pass-Through technology means that we do not damage the built-in cells in the power bank by charging the device itself and other equipment at the same time. Thus, the life of the cells in the MagSynergy™ is not shortened. In addition, when charging a smartphone, wireless headphones or any other device, the battery in the power bank itself is also charged. This means that we don't have to charge all the equipment one by one and waste time switching cables from one device to another.
Example:
By connecting the power bank itself with Pass-Through technology for charging in the evening, and other devices directly to the ports on the power bank, we can enjoy a full battery in each of them in the morning.
How often to charge the power bank if we don't use it?
If you want the life of the cells in your MagSynergy™ to be long, it is recommended that it be recharged regularly. It is recommended that you charge the device at least once every 5 months) to maintain its long life.
Why doesn't wireless charging work?
Check that the back surface of the phone is not covered with metal materials, such as tin , ring, metal or too thick protective casing. The power bank has a number of safety features, and it may be that if it detects foreign metal elements near the magnetic charging surface, it will simply cut off the current to protect the device.
At what temperature to store the power bank?
The power bank does not like extreme temperatures, so it is best to store it at room temperature, about 15 - 20 degrees in a dry and shaded place. MagSynergy™ does not like extreme sunshine and freezing temperatures. The operating temperature of the device is 0-40℃.
